Balto® Off-Road provides support for dogs with impaired mobility due to pathologies or mature age. Among the various conditions are hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, rear legs’ severe osteoarthritis, neurological problems, and hind joints deficiency impeding self-support.

The wheelchair is made of anodized aluminum, and it is lightweight, resistant, and exceptionally stable. Balto® Off-Road is available in three sizes, and it is fully adjustable in width, height, and length.

Adjustable supporting straps at the front provide an excellent fit for your dog while an X-shaped rear harness comfortably and securely holds your dog while the device is in use. The harness also facilitates solid and liquid ejection without dirtying the wheelchair (e.g. in case of incontinent dogs).

Supplied components:

  • Two support straps for the rear legs to help relax your dog during walks and reduce stress
  • All-terrain rubber wheels
  • An upper handle that screws onto the harness, providing guided support in case of severe motor difficulties or obstacles such as steps and sidewalks
  • Safety straps covered with soft and breathable Balto® material, hand washable
  • An assembly kit: screws, self-locking nuts, a wrench, and an Allen key

Measurement A: Distance from the shoulder to the center point of the thigh
Measurement B: Height from the hip to the ground
Measurement C: Width from leg to leg above the tail

  • Allow up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace
  • Wear the brace for 30 minutes a day, increasing 30 minutes each day after, for up to 12 hours
  • Consult your veterinarian for specific instructions on when to wear your brace
  • Remove the brace when your animal sleeps at night
  • Inspect your pet for signs of skin irritation. If any are present, contact your veterinarian
  • In addition to wiping the brace clean, keep skin and fur that comes into contact with the brace clean
  • Inspect your brace regularly for any damage
